11 years coaching volleyball, fourth season with Tstreet!

Chris Sisson is entering his 4th season with Tstreet and will be head coaching the 15-1s team. In a shortened 2020 club season Chris’ 15s team earned a bronze medal in the open division of Triple Crown in Kansas City and won the first and only SCVA mandatory they played in prior to the season being terminated due to Covid-19. During the 2019 club season his 12s team earned a bronze medal in the American Division at the SCVA Junior National Qualifier. In 2018 and 2019 Chris coached the 15-2s team to back to back bronze medals in the Club Division at the JVA West Coast Cup in Long Beach as well as a bronze medal in the Patriot Division at the 2019 USAV Girls Junior National Championships in Indianapolis. Prior to coaching at Tstreet, Chris coached high school and club volleyball in Las Vegas, NV starting in 2009. During his time at Foothill High School, Chris coached both boys and girls volleyball from 2009-2016. In 2012, he took over as the head coach of the boy’s varsity program and led them to 5 straight years of Regional Playoff appearances. In three of those years the boys qualified for the Nevada State Championship Tournament where they finished as State Runners-up in 2013 and 2016. His dedication to both volleyball programs at Foothill helped raise them into perennial contenders in Nevada.

Chris is a Las Vegas native and first moved to Southern California to attend Vanguard University in 2002 where he graduated with a BA in Business Administration in 2005. Chris returned to Las Vegas in 2008 where he earned a teaching credential at UNLV and began teaching Math and coaching volleyball at Foothill High School in Henderson, NV in 2009. In 2013, Chris also earned a Masters Degree in Education from Touro University in Henderson, NV. In 2016 Chris moved back to Southern California to take on new teaching and coaching challenges. He is currently a Math Teacher and Volleyball Coach at Mission Viejo High School. When Chris isn’t teaching or coaching he enjoys hanging out with his dog Remy and playing as much golf as possible.
